Relay For Life 2007

Relay For Life 2007

Dr. Dave Mason and myself at the Relay For Life. Dr. Dave has run in the event here in St. George since it originated 19 years ago. His team has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society. Thank you Dr. Dave. Dave has been a close personal friend of mine for 15 years.

On a separate note, Thank you Katie for setting me up with a new running skirt. They are the latest craze for women's running atire.

April 27-28, 2007 Relay For Life in St. George. This is my father, S. Garth Jones, and myself. My dad has organized the Dr. Dave's Team, dedicated to his dear friend Dave Mason, for the past 15 years. Our team took first place in milage with over 168 miles in the 24 hours. We hold the first place in milage now for the last 4 years. It was a hot, sunny day in St. George, Utah. What a great cause. There were over 60 teams that walked and ran for the American Cancer Society.

Las Vegas Review Journal Update April 23, 2007

* Tracy Rodgers of Las Vegas was crowned Mrs. Nevada United States 2007 in March. First runner-up was Jill Barnhardt, and second runner-up was Yevgeniya Gomez, both of Las Vegas.
The contestants were judged on swimwear, evening gown and preliminary interviews.
Rodgers will represent Nevada at the national pageant July 8-12 at the Silverton.

I have been invited to be a guest judge the Miss Ivins, Utah Pageant on May 4, 2007 in lovely Ivins, Utah. I will also be a guest judge at the Ms. Iron County State Fair on August 11, 2007 in Parowan, Utah. It sure to be two great evenings of beauty and talent.

Upcoming Events

I will be running in the 24 hour Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. It is fast approaching on April 27-28, 2007. I will also be running in the Injured Police Officer's Run on May 19, 2007. This should help me get into better shape for the Mrs. United States National Pageant held in Las Vegas on July 8-12, 2007 :)

Moapa Valley High School Takes 2nd at Nationals

I want to congraduate the High School Team on taking SECOND PLACE at NATIONALS on April 22, 2007. CONGRADULATIONS GUYS!!! I had the opportunity to help them a little with their interview technique and dress, but all I can say is that it was their hard work, determination, and great personalities that really did it. Praise should also go to Mary Bulloch, their adviser, teacher, and friend, for helping them to be the very best that they could be. Way to go!!!

Thursday, April 19, 2007 I held a fundraiser with Cookie Lee Jewelry, The Candle Hutch, and Secret Gratitude Gifts. What an awesome day of shopping, laughter, great food and friends, and everyone came away with something great. I want to thank those who came and supported the cause. This next weekend I will be running in the 24 hour Relay for Life In St. George, Utah on Dr. Dave's Team. It is an event that I look forward to every year. Thank you again to everyone who helped to make this day a huge success.

Clark County Fair Cinderella Pageant


I was asked to be a judge at the Clark County Fair Cinderella Pageant on April 12, 2007. The girls were all so great. They were all so beautiful and talented. It was very tough competition, an of course, everyone of them was a winner.

Moapa Valley High School goes to Nationals


I had the awesome opportunity to help the high school hotel/culinary management team prepare to go to state. They won they state title on March 16, 2007. We are celebrating here both of our wins at the VIP Chinese Restaurant. They are off to Nationals on April 18, 2007. I wish them the best of luck. I know they will do great.

Upcoming event to raise funds for the American Cancer Society

I will be hosting a fundraiser on April 19, 2007 at my home sponsored by Cookie Lee Jewelry, Cottage Candles, and Secret Gratitudes. Proceeds from the day will go to the American Cancer Society. I will be running in the 24 hour Relay For Life in St. George, Utah on my father's team on April 27-28, 2007. My father has been running in this event for over 15 years now. The last 2 years we have taken first in mileage and hope to keep the winning streak going. Dr. Dave's Team, as well call it, has raised over 10's of thousands of dollars over the last 15 years to benefit the American Cancer Society. We are preparing for another great year.

March 23, 2007 I met with the Morning Zoo at KLUC and Fox 5 TV. I donated a gown to Gown Town fund raiser.
I am so thankful for the love and support of my two sons and step daughter: Damon, Kelly, and Derrick.

Crowning moment March 17, 2007

What an exciting moment. I had the opportunity to compete with 8 of the most beautiful and intelligent women. What a great experience. I woke up the next morning and told my husband to pinch me to make sure it was real.
